personality disorders are real. this is the number one rated book in the community of people who have had to deal with people who suck all of their emotional/mental/physical energy. i am very glad i found this book as it thoroughly describes each of the “emotional vampire” disorders and even has a checklist of symptoms at the end of each section. plenty of information in brief, easy to read chapters. one who suffers from knowing someone who is emotionally draining might be stricken by the information presented here as they become aware that a person they know might be suffering from a disorder. this book was the first step in saving me.
